I found an old, hand-painted baritone uke in a thrift store in Woodinville, WA. She was missing strings and had been passed over by the bargain seekers. I thought she might be a cool instrument project as I was just learning to play the uke at the time.

I found a postcard in the case pocket. With messages of faith, a renewal of sorts after long time and distance between what seemed to be siblings. But then all was discarded to be picked up by new hands and heart.

This is a very different sort of song for The Northern Light. Thanks to Ginger Young for suggesting that I write a song about it. Ginger's cool photo with a vintage camping trailer in a PNW forest is the album art.
